What's New for Fall, 2008

We're starting to get information about what's new for next year. Ping, Titleist, Cobra and Mizuno have all introduced new product lines for 2009 that will be available this fall.

Ping has upgraded the Rapture line with the new V2. We are featuring the V2 woods and irons on the website. The Ping Fitting van will be at The Meadows Golf Course in Blue Island this Sunday, August 31, from 11:00am to 3:00pm. The new V2 clubs, iWi putters and the G10 line will all be available. Charlie will be at there, too.

Titleist is coming out with a complete family of 909 metals (drivers, fairway woods), which will be available in November. New Vokey Sping Mill wedges and Scotty Cameron Studio Select putters will be launched in November, as well. More on that to come.

Cobra's fall introductions include the new L5V driver, available October 1 and Transition S irons, which are available now. The new Transition S can also be customized.

Mizuno has a very nice line up for fall and I will have a separate column for Mixuno after Labor Day.

Used Bonanza

Since my return from out west two weeks ago, I've spent almost all my time working with the huge number of used Callaway, Titleist and Cobra clubs we got from the company reps. This time of year most of the demos or fitting clubs get returned or sold. Klees Golf Shop is able to pick up quite a few of these clubs because we are willing to do the work needed to sell them at our shop or on the internet.

Most of the Callaway clubs will stay at our shop. Customers are always coming in asking for used Callaway. I wish we had more putters. The Cobra woods will mostly be for sale at the shop, whereas the irons are on the website under Used Golf Clubs. You can click on this link to see what's for sale. Our prices usually beat what you find on eBay since I don't have to pay fees to sell the club here.

We also have product on eBay, mostly Titleist woods and some staff bags. These are good deals, too. Click on the eBay Logo on the home page and you'll go right to our listings. If you see something you like give us a call at 866-241-9687.
