Klees Golf

Repairs are a major segment of our business. Klees Golf Shop has been repairing clubs since 1910, when all clubs were handmade. The first Charlie Klees, his son John, and grandson Charlie were all trained by Scottish golfsmiths to repair clubs. These Scots worked at the local country clubs repairing golf clubs for members.

In the 1960's Spalding appointed Klees Golf Shop as its Midwest Warranty Repair center. Golf pros from the central U.S. as far south as Louisiana, sent in their customers' broken Spalding clubs for repair. For over 20 years Klees Golf Shop serviced dozens of country clubs and municipal clubs whose professional staff relied on us for repairs of all kinds of golf clubs, not just Spalding.

We regrip and reshaft thousands of clubs a year, and this business just keeps on growing. For information about grip services click Grips.

Klees Golf Shop is a Fujikura Shaft Charter Dealer, so we carry a broad range of Fujikura shafts. We also reshaft clubs with just about every major brand of shaft available. Click Fujikura Charter Dealer to see what we offer.  For complete information about our shaft services click Shafts.

Charlie Klees restrings wood heads, installs leather grips, replaces ferrules and can repair just about any club ever made. Whether you have an old club from early 20th century or one you bought last season, if it needs some work give us a call at 866-241-9687.

Klees Golf Shop is an authorized Ping Fitting Dealer and we have fitting carts for Cobra, Mizuno, Callaway and Cleveland Golf. We typically stock irons in longer than standard length so a taller customer can come in, get fit for a set and walk out the next day with a set the right length and lie.

If you only need the lie angle or loft of your irons adjusted we can bend irons and putters to match your swing. Stop by and have your clubs checked FREE and we can help you decide if your clubs need adjustments. For more information about this service click on Shafts

In the 1980s and 1990s custom clubs were very popular. Many small club manufacturers offered iron and wood heads that resembled the name brands in style and, in some cases, performance. Often called "knockoffs" this segment of the business enabled Klees Golf Shop to produce high quality iron and wood sets for a fraction of the cost of the name brands. The quality in custom clubs came from in-depth knowledge of shaft design, component fit and consistent assembly: every club should feel the same from one to the next.

You can still get custom clubs and there are component companies that offer models easily as good as the name brands in style and performance. Klees Golf Shop is a dealer for KZG and SMT products. If you are interested in knowing more about custom clubs call us at 866-241-9687, or email us at mailto:info%40kleesgolf.com
